Colour coding and cross-contamination

Different colour cloths and different tools are used for the commode zone and the basin zone. It sounds like a small detail; it is the single most important hygiene practice in bathroom cleaning, and it is the one most commonly ignored. Fittings are polished dry rather than left to air-dry, so no fresh water spots form as soon as we leave.

Between June and September, humidity above eighty percent means mould does not need a leak — condensation on a cool wall is enough. Fungicide treatment of grout and silicone joints slows regrowth substantially, but the real fix is airflow: a working exhaust fan and a few minutes of ventilation after every shower. Blocked aerators and shower heads are almost always limescale, not low pressure. Descaling usually restores flow completely and costs nothing extra as part of a bathroom deep clean.

Descaling chemicals are strong by necessity. The team ventilates the area, keeps the door closed to the rest of the flat while treating, rinses thoroughly and tells you the re-entry time. If a household member is asthmatic, tell us and we will adjust the product set and extend ventilation.
